For many of us in West Marin, summer is a time of back-to-back family visits and activity. Since Tim and I moved from Tucson to Point Reyes three years ago, our house in summer has become a major destination for our friends and family to escape the desert heat. With a wealth of events, festivals and summer getaways to top it off, summer can be a wonderful, joyful time - but it can also be overly taxing to our bodies and minds if we don’t take time to balance all the extroverted energy with adequate self-care and rest.
Debbie Daly is passionate about sharing practices of yoga, mindfulness, relaxation, breathing and meditation. She teaches at Yoga Toes Studio in Point Reyes Station and is also the founder of Tucson Yoga, a visionary studio project in Arizona that delivers low-cost yoga to thousands of students each year.
Debbie believes yoga and meditation have the power to increase anyone's clarity and productivity, and ultimately to enable all of us to live up to our highest potential.
During her 15 years of teaching, Debbie has developed a unique approach to yoga intended to honor the great diversity of body types among us. This personal system of stretching, strengthening, and relaxation is rooted in Debbie's extensive study of movement anatomy. Yoga can often seem limited to people who have certain innate flexibilities, but this system makes the benefits of yoga available to anyone.

Debbie Daly moved to Point Reyes Station from Tucson, Arizona with her partner Tim Weed in 2008. She met Tim in 2003 in her yoga class in her studio in Tucson, and as singers, they were drawn together. "He started singing Sanskrit chants with me during savasana, and I started singing bluegrass harmonies with him at his concerts." Daly says she’d been singing in choirs all her life, but otherwise hadn’t performed much. She adds harmony vocals and guitar to Weed’s original music, and also sings some lead vocals.
