September 2010 Update
8/30/10
Dear Friends & Yogis,
I'm back in town and excited to resume our usual yoga schedule this week.  I just finished a profound two-week training retreat with Paul Grilley, and I'm really inspired to share lots of new insights with you!  Our Tuesday classes will continue to be a gentle practice with an emphasis on yin yoga, relaxation, and increasing our awareness of Chi as it moves through the body.  Our Thursday and Sunday flow classes will also be taking a gentler turn to make space for deeper awareness and relaxation, and more yin yoga.
I hope to see you in class soon!

About Debbie

Debbie Daly began teaching yoga in 1999, and in 2003 she started Tucson Yoga, a community yoga studio in Arizona which has been voted the Best Yoga Studio in Tucson for the past 5 years, now with attendance over 20,000 per year.

Debbie has studied many styles of yoga and meditation.  Her most influential teachers are Paul and Suzee Grilley, Shiva Rea and Jack Kornfield.  She has worked with thousands of students - people of all ages, body types, and levels of ability.  Her path has included Yin Yoga, Vinyasa/Flow and Yang Yoga, Kripalu Yoga and Restorative Yoga, as well as Vipassana Mindfulness Meditation and LovingKindness/Compassion practice.  She draws from the best of these influences and now teaches her own combination of gentle intuitive movement and yin yoga.  She is actively engaged in continued Anatomy and Yin Yoga studies with Paul Grilley.

In her classes, Debbie teaches students to move compassionately and intelligently with their own unique body.  Her teaching style emphasizes one’s inner experience and intuition, rather than outer form or aesthetics.

Debbie worked as a computer programmer before becoming a yoga teacher, and she holds a Computer Science degree from Rutgers University.  Her experience with computer usage and repetitive strain has led her to develop a program called Yoga for Computer Users, which you can read more about here.

Debbie moved to Point Reyes Station in 2008 and continues to support Tucson Yoga as a co-owner.  She's also a musician and singer.   She performs in concerts with her partner Tim Weed, a multi-instrumentalist who often shares beautiful live music in her classes.  In addition she's a gardener, a vegetarian cook, and an avid hiker.
